Sodium Dichromate Supplier in Malaysia

  • Also known as
  • Na2Cr2O7
  • Disodium Dichromate
  • Sodium Bichromate

Sodium dichromate supplier for metal finishing, pigment manufacture and process oxidation in Malaysia. Also known as Na2Cr2O7, disodium dichromate and sodium bichromate, this orange crystalline hexavalent chromium salt is a strong oxidising agent and a soluble chromate source for industrial baths and chemical manufacture.

Commercial forms include sodium dichromate dihydrate crystals and technical anhydrous grades. Dihydrate is commonly selected for aqueous conversion coatings, corrosion inhibition and anodising seal treatments, while anhydrous material is used when the process specification names the water-free salt. Assay, impurity limits and packing are confirmed against the requirement.

Manufacturers use sodium dichromate in electroplating support, conversion and seal treatments, chromate pigment intermediates and selected oxidising process steps. Laboratory methods may also name it as an oxidising reagent. It is not the same product as potassium dichromate.

Send the required hydration form or grade, application, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation. Supply is subject to applicable requirements.

Common questions about sodium dichromate

Is sodium dichromate the same as potassium dichromate?

No. Sodium dichromate is Na2Cr2O7 (also traded as disodium dichromate and sodium bichromate). Potassium dichromate is K2Cr2O7, a different salt with its own page and specification. Do not substitute one for the other without checking the process recipe and assay basis.

Which form should I request, dihydrate or anhydrous?

Dihydrate crystals are the usual commercial form for many aqueous metal finishing and seal-treatment baths. Anhydrous technical material is chosen when the process or raw-material specification names the water-free salt. State the hydration form and dose basis so the quotation can be matched.

Is sodium dichromate used for anodising seal treatments?

Yes. Sodium dichromate solutions are used in selected aluminium anodising seal and related chromate conversion treatments. Describe the bath type, concentration target and metal system with the enquiry so grade and form can be confirmed.

What specification details should I include with an enquiry?

State dihydrate or anhydrous form, technical or process grade, any assay or impurity limits, application, quantity and delivery location. If you already run a grade, attach the current specification so the offer can be compared closely.

Can packing and documents be confirmed with the quotation?

Yes. List the preferred pack format and any required safety or specification documents in the enquiry. Available packing and documentation are confirmed for the quoted grade.

How is sodium dichromate priced?

Price depends on grade, hydration form, specification, quantity and delivery location. Send those details for a quotation with a stated validity period.
