Distilled Monoglyceride Supplier in Malaysia
- Also known as
- DMG
- Distilled Monoglycerides
Distilled monoglyceride is a high-monoester emulsifier grade for food, plastics and personal-care formulation requirements in Malaysia. Commonly shortened to DMG, it is associated with the E471 additive reference and is selected by its monoglyceride content, fatty-acid profile and physical form.
The material is molecularly distilled from a mono- and diglyceride product to increase its monoester content, with 90% minimum monoglyceride commonly stated as a market reference. Saturated and unsaturated grades may be specified in fine powder, bead, pastille, flake or molten form, while iodine value and melting point help define the required grade.
Food applications include bakery crumb softening and anti-staling systems, margarine, shortening, ice cream, dairy products, chewing gum, instant noodles and non-dairy creamer. Distilled monoglyceride is also used as an antistatic or lubricating additive in selected plastics processing and as an emulsifier in personal-care formulations.
Distilled monoglyceride is distinct from ordinary lower-monoester mono- and diglyceride blends, glycerol monostearate, glycerol monooleate, DATEM and other modified monoglycerides or emulsifier families. Send the required grade, form, specification, quantity, application and delivery location with your enquiry; availability, packing, origin, certification and documentation are confirmed with the quotation.

Distilled Monoglyceride applications
Common questions about distilled monoglyceride
What distinguishes distilled monoglyceride from ordinary mono- and diglycerides?
Distilled monoglyceride is the high-monoester purity grade produced by molecular distillation, while ordinary mono- and diglyceride blends have lower monoester content.
Is distilled monoglyceride the same as glycerol monostearate?
No. Glycerol monostearate names the stearate species, while distilled monoglyceride names a distillation purity grade with a fatty-acid distribution.
Which distilled monoglyceride grade and form should I request?
Specify a saturated or unsaturated fatty-acid profile and the required powder, bead, pastille, flake or molten form, together with the target specification.
Does E471 identify a distilled monoglyceride grade?
E471 is an additive reference for mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids. It does not replace the need to state the distilled grade and required specification.
What certification and fat source details should be included in an enquiry?
State any required halal documentation and whether the fat source is material to the application. Certification, origin and documents are confirmed for the quoted grade.
What applications use distilled monoglyceride?
Common applications include bakery, margarine, shortening, ice cream, dairy, instant noodles, non-dairy creamer, plastics processing and personal-care formulations.
