Potassium Chlorate (KClO3) Supplier in Malaysia
- Also known as
- KClO3
- Chlorate of Potash
Potassium chlorate supplier enquiries in Malaysia cover industrial oxidising and laboratory reagent requirements. Also known as chlorate of potash and written KClO3, it is a white crystalline solid selected by grade, assay, impurity limits and particle size.
Commercial requirements include technical or industrial crystals and powder, controlled-particle material for defined handling behaviour, and laboratory reagent grade. Assay, moisture, chloride, insoluble matter and sieve range should be stated where the process depends on them.
Manufacturers specify potassium chlorate in controlled oxidising formulations and selected chemical processes. Pulp, paper, mineral-processing and laboratory users may also require it for named oxidation, bleaching or analytical procedures. It is not sodium chlorate, potassium chloride or potassium nitrate.
Send the required grade, assay, particle size, application, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation. Supply is subject to applicable requirements.

Potassium Chlorate grades and forms
We supply several forms to suit different formulating and dosing setups. If you need a size that is not listed, ask us.
| Grade | Form | Assay | Typical use | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technical potassium chlorate | white crystalline powder or crystals | — | Industrial oxidising formulations and process steps that explicitly specify potassium chlorate at a technical-grade assay. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Controlled-particle potassium chlorate | white crystalline material to a stated particle-size range | — | Manufacturing processes where flow, blending or dissolution behaviour depends on a defined crystal or powder particle size. | Confirm particle size and pack format with the quotation. |
| Laboratory reagent potassium chlorate | white crystalline powder | — | Analytical, teaching and synthesis procedures that name KClO3 and require a reagent specification rather than a general technical grade. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |

Common questions about potassium chlorate
Is potassium chlorate the same as sodium chlorate?
No. Potassium chlorate is KClO3 and sodium chlorate is NaClO3. Both are chlorate oxidisers, but they are different salts and should not be substituted unless the process owner has approved the change.
Is potassium chlorate the same as potassium chloride or potassium nitrate?
No. Potassium chloride is KCl and potassium nitrate is KNO3. Potassium chlorate is KClO3, a separate strong oxidising salt with different uses, specifications and handling requirements.
Which potassium chlorate grade should I request?
State whether the requirement is technical, industrial or laboratory reagent grade. Include assay, moisture, chloride or insoluble-matter limits and particle size when these affect the process.
Why should particle size be stated in an enquiry?
Crystal or powder particle size can affect flow, blending, dust control and dissolution. If the receiving process is set up for a defined sieve range, include that range with the quotation request.
What details are needed for a potassium chlorate quotation?
Provide grade, assay and impurity limits, particle size, application, quantity and delivery location. Packing, available documentation and commercial terms are confirmed for the offered grade.
