Potassium Permanganate Crystals Supplier in Malaysia
- Also known as
- KMnO4
- Permanganate of Potash
- Kalium Permanganate
Potassium permanganate supplier for industrial water treatment, wastewater oxidation and process dosing in Malaysia. Also known as KMnO4, permanganate of potash and Condy's crystals, this dark purple crystalline oxidiser is selected for iron and manganese removal, taste and odour control, and strong oxidative work in process plants.
Commercial forms include industrial crystals and free-flowing technical grades for continuous dry feeders. Industrial crystals suit batch make-up and general water-plant dosing, while free-flowing material is chosen where reduced caking and steadier metering matter. Assay, particle size and packing are confirmed against the requirement.
Water-treatment and manufacturing plants use potassium permanganate to oxidise dissolved iron and manganese, improve taste and odour, and treat oxidisable colour or organics in effluent. Laboratory and selected textile or mining processes also specify KMnO4 as a strong oxidising reagent. It is not the same product as potassium nitrate fertiliser grades.
Send the required grade or form, application, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation. Supply is subject to applicable requirements.

Potassium Permanganate grades and forms
We supply several forms to suit different formulating and dosing setups. If you need a size that is not listed, ask us.
| Grade | Form | Assay | Typical use | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Industrial-grade potassium permanganate crystals | dark purple to violet crystals | — | Water-treatment oxidation of iron and manganese, taste and odour control, and batch or continuous dosing in drinking-water and industrial water systems. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Free-flowing technical potassium permanganate | free-flowing crystalline solid | — | Continuous feeder and dry-dosing systems where reduced caking and more consistent flow improve metering accuracy. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Technical crystalline grade for process oxidation | dark purple crystalline solid | — | Industrial wastewater oxidation, process oxidising steps, selected bleaching or decolourising work, and laboratory synthesis or analysis where a technical KMnO4 grade is specified. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |

Common questions about potassium permanganate
Is industrial potassium permanganate the same as pharmacy antiseptic bottles?
Both are potassium permanganate (KMnO4), historically sold as Condy's crystals, but this page is for industrial crystal and free-flowing grades used in water treatment, process oxidation and bulk dosing. Retail pharmacy pack sizes and medical-shop antiseptic products are a different buying channel.
Which grade should I request for water-treatment dosing?
Industrial crystals are commonly used for iron and manganese oxidation, taste and odour control and general oxidative dosing. Free-flowing technical material is often preferred for continuous dry feeders. State the dose method, water chemistry and target residual so the quotation can match form and particle behaviour.
What is the difference between potassium permanganate and potassium nitrate?
They are different chemicals. Potassium permanganate is KMnO4, a strong oxidiser used for water treatment and process oxidation. Potassium nitrate is KNO3, a separate fertiliser and process salt with its own page and specification.
What specification details should I include with an enquiry?
State industrial, free-flowing or technical form, any assay or particle-size preference, application, quantity and delivery location. If you already run a grade, attach the current specification or note the key controls so the offer can be compared closely.
Can packing and documents be confirmed with the quotation?
Yes. List the preferred pack format and any required safety or specification documents in the enquiry. Available packing and documentation are confirmed for the quoted grade.
How is potassium permanganate priced?
Price depends on grade, form, specification, quantity and delivery location. Send those details for a quotation with a stated validity period.
