Are ethylenediamine, ethylene diamine and EDA the same product?

Yes. The joined and spaced spellings describe the same diamine, formula C2H8N2, and EDA is its established trade abbreviation. The systematic names 1,2-diaminoethane and ethane-1,2-diamine appear on specification sheets for the same material.

Is ethylenediamine the same as EDTA?

No, they are separate products. Ethylenediamine is the simple liquid diamine, while the chelating acid and its sodium salts are solid downstream materials manufactured from it. If your formulation calls for a chelant, order the chelating product by name and enquire for it separately.

Is diethylenetriamine or triethylenetetramine a grade of ethylenediamine?
