Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Supplier in Malaysia
- Also known as
- LDPE Resin
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is supplied to Malaysian film, packaging, coating and moulding converters as pellets selected for a defined process and property profile. The buying specification normally combines density, melt-flow test condition, additive package and the mechanical or optical needs of the finished article.
Film extrusion grades are chosen for melt strength, clarity, sealing and slip or antiblock behaviour. Extrusion-coating resin must suit draw-down and adhesion on paper, board, foil or film, while injection grades are evaluated for flow, flexibility, shrinkage and moulding performance.
LDPE is not interchangeable with HDPE, LLDPE or an undefined mixed-polymer resin. Natural resin and colour or additive-bearing compounds also need separate declarations, especially when appearance, surface behaviour or downstream qualification matters.
Send the required Low-density polyethylene process grade, property and additive targets, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, suitable packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation.

Low-Density Polyethylene grades and forms
We supply several forms to suit different formulating and dosing setups. If you need a size that is not listed, ask us.
| Grade | Form | Assay | Typical use | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LDPE film extrusion grade | natural or compounded pellets | — | Blown and cast film for flexible packaging, liners and protective films where melt-flow, density, optical, sealing and mechanical requirements are stated by the converter. | Confirm the required resin pack format with the quotation. |
| LDPE extrusion coating and lamination grade | free-flowing pellets | — | Coating of paper, board, foil and flexible substrates where melt strength, draw-down, adhesion and surface-finish targets are matched to the coating line. | Confirm the required resin pack format with the quotation. |
| LDPE injection moulding grade | natural or compounded pellets | — | Flexible closures, caps, small components and general moulded articles where the processor specifies melt flow, shrinkage, flexibility and additive package. | Confirm the required resin pack format with the quotation. |

Low-Density Polyethylene applications
Safety and handling
Keep LDPE pellets dry, clean and protected from excessive heat, direct sunlight and contamination. Follow the resin producer's handling and processing guidance for the selected grade and control hot-polymer hazards during conversion.
Common questions about Low-density polyethylene
Is LDPE resin the same as low-density polyethylene?
Yes. LDPE is the standard abbreviation for low-density polyethylene. The abbreviation does not identify a processing grade, so film, coating or moulding requirements still need to be stated.
Is LDPE the same as HDPE or LLDPE?
No. HDPE, LDPE and linear low-density polyethylene are distinct polyethylene material families with different structure and processing behaviour. A design written for one should not be quoted as another without converter approval.
How should an LDPE melt-flow grade be selected?
State the conversion process, equipment, test condition and target range. Film extrusion, extrusion coating and injection moulding place different demands on flow, melt strength and draw-down behaviour.
What should be specified for LDPE film?
Include film process, thickness range, optical targets, seal behaviour, mechanical properties and slip or antiblock requirements. The finished film specification is more useful than requesting generic LDPE pellets.
Are colour and additive packages part of the resin identity?
No. Natural LDPE is the base polymer, while colour masterbatch, slip, antiblock and other additives define a compounded or additive-bearing grade. Ask for the complete package needed by the application.
Which documents can be requested for LDPE resin?
List the technical, quality and safety documents required for material qualification. Available grade data and documents are confirmed with the quotation.
What details are needed for an LDPE quotation?
Include the process, grade or property targets, additive package, colour, quantity, preferred packing and delivery location so the resin basis is clear.
