Ferrous Sulphate Supplier in Malaysia

  • Also known as
  • Ferrous Sulfate
  • iron(II) Sulphate
  • iron(II) Sulfate
  • Green Vitriol

Ferrous sulphate supplier for fertiliser, animal-feed, water-treatment, construction and industrial buyers in Malaysia. Also called ferrous sulfate, iron(II) sulphate, green vitriol or copperas (FeSO4), it is a water-soluble iron(II) salt selected for micronutrient, reducing-agent and process duties.

Commercial demand centres on heptahydrate crystals and monohydrate powder or granules in technical, fertiliser and feed grades. Hydrate form, iron assay basis and impurity limits vary by use, so the grade should be stated rather than treated as one universal specification.

Agricultural buyers use it as an iron micronutrient in blends, fertigation and foliar programmes. Feed manufacturers add feed-grade material to mineral premixes, while technical grades serve water and wastewater treatment, cement chromate reduction, pigment manufacture and industrial reducing processes. It is not ferric sulfate, ferric sulphate or ferrous ammonium sulphate.

Send the required hydrate or grade, assay or iron-content basis, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation.

Common questions about ferrous sulphate

Are ferrous sulphate and ferrous sulfate the same product?

Yes. Ferrous sulphate and ferrous sulfate are the same iron(II) salt; the first is British spelling and the second American. Also called iron(II) sulphate, green vitriol or copperas. State the hydrate and grade in the enquiry because heptahydrate and monohydrate differ in water content and iron assay basis.

What is the difference between heptahydrate and monohydrate?

Heptahydrate is typically pale green to blue-green crystals with seven waters of crystallisation. Monohydrate is usually a powder or granule form with one water of crystallisation and a higher iron content per unit mass. Do not treat the two as interchangeable without matching the specified hydrate and assay basis.

Is ferrous sulphate the same as ferric sulfate or ferric sulphate?

No. Ferrous sulphate is the iron(II) salt. Ferric sulfate or ferric sulphate is the iron(III) salt used mainly as a coagulant and is a different product with its own page. Bare iron sulfate or iron sulphate is ambiguous and should always be qualified as ferrous or ferric.

Which grade should I request for fertiliser or feed use?

For agriculture, request fertiliser grade and state the intended use (blend, fertigation or foliar) plus the required iron analysis and hydrate. For animal nutrition, request feed grade, usually monohydrate, and any impurity or documentation limits that apply to the premix or feed.

Is this the same product as ferrous ammonium sulphate?

No. Ferrous ammonium sulphate (Mohr's salt) is a separate iron(II) ammonium double salt used mainly in analytical and laboratory work. It is not a grade of ferrous sulphate.

What details are needed for a ferrous sulphate price enquiry?

Provide the hydrate or grade, assay or iron-content basis, any impurity limits, quantity and delivery location. Mention preferred packing and documentation needs so the quotation can address the full requirement.
