Polydextrose Supplier in Malaysia

  • Also known as
  • PDX
  • Poly Dextrose
  • E1200

Polydextrose supplier for food, beverage, nutrition and pharmaceutical formulators in Malaysia. Polydextrose, written PDX in trade shorthand and numbered E1200, is a randomly bonded glucose polymer (CAS 68424-04-4) supplied as a spray-dried powder or as a solution at around 70 percent solids.

Formulators specify it where sugar or fat solids come out of a recipe and the body, texture and water activity of the system still have to be held. It carries little sweetness of its own, so the sweetener decision stays separate from the bulk decision. Powder suits dry blends and tableting, while the solution suits beverage and dairy lines that dose by pump.

Polydextrose is not maltodextrin and it is not a polyol sweetener, so each is ordered by its own name. Commercial types differ mainly in residual glucose, colour and hygroscopicity rather than in identity, which shows up in clear beverages and pale confectionery. State the type your specification already names.

Enquiries are welcome with the form, commercial type, target specification, quantity and receiving site. Packing, documentation and availability follow in the quotation. Supply is subject to applicable requirements.

How to buy polydextrose from ChemTrade

Ordering

Send the required form (powder or solution), the commercial type or specification your formulation already works to, the application, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry.

Delivery

Name the delivery point and whether the powder or the solution is going to the site. Route, timing, pack format and documentation are settled in the quotation rather than fixed here.

Pricing

Polydextrose is quoted on enquiry with a stated validity period, since form, commercial type, specification and quantity all move the offer.

Polydextrose applications

Safety and handling

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place. The powder is hygroscopic and cakes once it has taken up humidity, so reseal part-used packs and keep exposure at the weighing station short. Solution grades stay covered under the conditions given on the specification for the material quoted.

Common questions about polydextrose

Is polydextrose the same as maltodextrin?

No. Both are glucose-based carbohydrates, but maltodextrin is a partly hydrolysed starch bought for solubility and carrier work, while polydextrose is a randomly bonded polymer bought for bulk and body. Order each by name so the right material reaches the quotation.

Is polydextrose a polyol sweetener?

No. It is a glucose polymer rather than a sugar alcohol, and it carries little sweetness of its own, so reduced-sugar systems normally pair it with a separate sweetener. If a polyol is what the formulation needs, name that ingredient in the enquiry instead.

Should I order polydextrose powder or the solution?

Powder suits dry blends, bakery and confectionery bases and tableting. The solution at around 70 percent solids suits beverage, dairy and syrup lines that dose by pump and want to avoid dust and a dissolving step. State the dosing method and the plant setup with the enquiry.

What do the commercial polydextrose types differ in?

They are the same substance and differ mainly in residual glucose, colour and hygroscopicity. That matters most in clear beverages, pale confectionery and coatings that brown during processing. Send the type or specification your formulation already names rather than a brand reference.

How should polydextrose be stored?

Keep powder sealed in a cool, dry place, because it takes up moisture readily and cakes once it has. Solution grades should stay covered and be used within the storage conditions stated on the specification for the material quoted.

What details are needed for a polydextrose price enquiry?

The form, the commercial type or target specification, the application, the volume and where it is going. Add any pack preference and the documents your quality team asks for, so the reply prices the whole job instead of the material on its own.
