Sodium Sulphate Supplier in Malaysia
- Also known as
- Sodium Sulfate
- Na2SO4
Sodium sulphate supplier for detergent, textile, glass, pulp and chemical manufacturers in Malaysia. Also called sodium sulfate and Na2SO4, this inorganic salt is selected as a solid filler, process salt and batch ingredient rather than as a surfactant or reducing agent.
Commercial forms include anhydrous powder or granules and decahydrate crystals known as Glauber's salt. Anhydrous material is widely used where dry Na2SO4 is specified, while the decahydrate carries water of crystallisation and must be ordered by the hydrate named on the process sheet.
Detergent makers use sodium sulphate as a powder filler. Textile plants may use it in dyeing and finishing baths, glass plants in batch recipes, and pulp mills in selected kraft circuits. It is not sodium sulphite, sodium sulphide, SLS or SLES.
Send the required hydrate, grade, form, specification, quantity and delivery location with your enquiry. Availability, packing, documentation and delivery timing are confirmed with the quotation.

Sodium Sulphate grades and forms
We supply several forms to suit different formulating and dosing setups. If you need a size that is not listed, ask us.
| Grade | Form | Assay | Typical use | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anhydrous sodium sulphate | white free-flowing powder or granules | — | Detergent filler, glass batch, textile processing and general industrial formulations where dry Na2SO4 without water of crystallisation is specified. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Sodium sulphate decahydrate (Glauber's salt) | white crystalline solid or crystals | — | Process and solution preparation where the decahydrate form is named on the specification rather than anhydrous material. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Detergent grade sodium sulphate | white powder or fine granules | — | Filler and processing aid in powder detergent and related cleaning product formulations. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |
| Textile and glass process grade | powder or granules to the stated mesh | — | Textile dyeing and finishing baths, glass manufacture and other process uses that specify particle form and purity against the plant recipe. | Confirm the required pack format with the quotation. |

Sodium Sulphate applications
Safety and handling
Keep sealed in a cool, dry place and protect from moisture, especially anhydrous grades that can pick up water. Follow the safety information for the quoted grade.
Common questions about sodium sulphate
Are sodium sulphate and sodium sulfate the same product?
Yes. Sodium sulphate is the British spelling and sodium sulfate is the American spelling of the same salt, Na2SO4. State the hydrate and grade in the enquiry because anhydrous material and decahydrate are not interchangeable on a weight basis.
What is the difference between anhydrous sodium sulphate and Glauber's salt?
Anhydrous sodium sulphate is dry Na2SO4 with no water of crystallisation. Glauber's salt is the decahydrate form, Na2SO4·10H2O. They differ in water content, handling and material basis, so use the hydrate named on the specification.
Is sodium sulphate the same as sodium sulphite, sodium sulphide or SLS?
No. Sodium sulphate is Na2SO4. Sodium sulphite (Na2SO3), sodium sulphide (Na2S), sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulphate (SLES) are different chemicals with different uses. Confirm Na2SO4 if the process calls for sodium sulphate.
Which sodium sulphate grade should I request for detergent manufacture?
Detergent makers commonly request anhydrous powder or fine granules with a stated assay, moisture and particle size. Send the current filler specification or performance target so the offered grade can be matched more closely.
What specifications should a sodium sulphate enquiry include?
State anhydrous or decahydrate, powder or granules, target assay or Na2SO4 content, moisture, insolubles, mesh or particle size, quantity and delivery location. Include the application when it drives grade selection.
What details are needed for a sodium sulphate price enquiry?
Provide the hydrate, grade, form, target specification, quantity and delivery location. Mention any preferred pack format and documentation needs so the quotation can address the complete requirement.
