Vinyl ester resin supplier for Malaysian FRP fabricators, tank and pipe manufacturers, plant maintenance contractors and marine builders. Also written as vinylester resin, VE resin or epoxy vinyl ester resin, it is supplied as an amber to pale viscous liquid that cures with a peroxide initiator and a metal promoter.
It sits between unsaturated polyester and epoxy on the selection scale. Vinyl ester resin is specified when a laminate must resist acids, oxidisers, solvents, hot water or steam beyond what a general-purpose polyester will hold, and where lower water absorption and better blister resistance are needed.
Grade families include standard bisphenol A epoxy based resins for general corrosion duty, brominated grades for fire performance, epoxy novolac grades for higher temperature and solvent service, elastomer-modified grades for impact and adhesion, and low-styrene grades. Safety and handling
Store in closed containers in a cool, dry, well ventilated place away from heat, direct sunlight, peroxides and other oxidising materials, and observe the shelf-life stated for the grade. Never store or mix the resin with its peroxide initiator. Supply is subject to applicable requirements.

What is vinyl ester resin used for?
It is the resin specified for corrosion-resistant FRP and GRP work: chemical storage tanks, scrubbers, ducting, pipe and pipe lining, tank and floor linings, marine barrier coats, and pultruded or filament-wound profiles.
When is vinyl ester specified instead of unsaturated polyester resin?
Vinyl ester is chosen when the laminate has to hold up to acids, oxidisers, solvents, hot water or steam that a general-purpose polyester cannot take, and where lower water absorption and better fatigue and blister resistance are needed. Epoxy takes over when adhesive strength and mechanical performance matter more than fast peroxide cure.
Is vinyl ester resin the same as vinyl acetate monomer?
No. Vinyl acetate monomer is a low-viscosity monomer used to make polymers and emulsions, and it is a different product despite the similar name. Vinyl ester resin is a thermosetting laminating resin, so order each one by name to avoid a mix-up at enquiry stage.
How does epoxy vinyl ester resin differ from epoxy resin?
